THE SENTINEL

She watches over the hordes of wandering souls that inhabit the world of shadows, especially those new and unaccustomed to the condition they are in. 

She is the spirit of a medium whose heart stopped during a séance.  Her death while in trance landed her in the very world she delved into nightly. The reason for her heart failure being the icy grip of a particularly angry ghost.

She, not surprisingly, feels right at home here. The newly dead seem to be drawn to her like a beacon, perhaps because of her former occupation.  Although she offers little in the way of answers, she mirrors her role in life, playing the part of medium to the world of the living.

Otherworldly communication through her is believed to be more like a feeling or an emotion rather than something actually spoken.  This hardly diminishes the desire to make contact by both the living and the dead.

But beware, for her fate should be a warning of the consequences of communication with the dead.
